Two new mulching heads – now available on Cat® Mulchers – provide increased versatility and performance in various land management applications. The Standard and High Flow C Series Mulching Heads are designed for cutting and mulching of vegetation, saplings and undergrowth from overgrown agricultural areas and forested terrain.
These new products strengthen Caterpillar’s position as a leader in the landscape industry by providing the widest range of work tool offerings in the market.
Standard Flow C Series Mulching Heads (HM115)
The Standard Flow Mulching head is designed for the customer who operates a mulcher in applications such as maintaining fire lanes, brush clearing and general land maintenance. The new adjustable multi-tooths pushbar is designed to help redirect tree placement when laying them on the ground.
The intergraded max pro gauge features a color range that allows the operator to know how effective the work tool is running. For example, if the gauge is in the yellow range, that indicates the machine can do more; if the gauge is in red then the machine is pushing the tool too hard and will stall. The color coding enables the operator be more proficient with the tool saving fuel and time.
The hydraulically operated front door designed to recirculate material for a finer finished product is standard with all Cat mulchers.
High Flow C Series Mulching Head (HM418C)
The new High Flow series provides many of the same features as the Standard series but is now 72″ wide which is larger than the machine track width allowing for greater clearing of track paths for level surfaces maneuvering. There are now three new tooth offerings which brings the total number of options to five. The new single bolt tooth retention allows for a quicker replacement time.
