When our customers purchased our units, they alleviated some of their business’ uncertainties. They’ve seen a reduction in material handling fees, have expanded their company’s services by tackling different and complex jobs, created their own aggregates, and have been able to process a variety of material without worrying about their machine breaking down. With less uncertainties, they’ve started to focus on their future projects and watched their company grow.
One consistent uncertainty is the expenses that change from job to job, such as equipment maintenance, purchasing material, and transportation. And when expenses start to add up, the focus shifts to which supplier can offer the cheapest option. Instead, the focus should switch to the equipment and whether or not there are units that can reduce expenses.
Reducing their expenses was a problem that the City of Odessa couldn’t solve. Aside from trash, their street sweepers also collected soil, and their police department thought about reusing the soil to reform the berms around the city. However, since street sweepers had been the ones to collect the dirt, it also picked up trash, leaving them with unusable material. Instead of reusing the soil, they had to have the material hauled away and purchase new material to rebuild the berms.
After doing the math and seeing how much it would be to purchase and transport material, the City of Odessa noticed that much like the soil piling up in the landfill, so were their expenses. What they thought
was a good solution turned out to be the least cost-effective option. They needed something that could separate the two materials without being too clunky to transport to the job site.
They purchased the MB-LS170 screening bucket for their wheeled loader to separate the soil from the trash and sent the separated material to reform the berms in the city. They gained a unit that helped them reduce their expenses, allowing them to save money in their budget and put it toward other repairs the city needed.
Another way you can reduce expenses is to create your aggregate and expand your company’s capabilities. When you produce the materials that you’ll need for your job site, you work efficiently and save money without losing out on the quality of the material. However, if you’re uncertain about the best ways to do it, recycling material might seem difficult. Either the process you read about to separate the two material is too time-consuming or you need to send materials to the stationary crusher sitting in your yard, yielding similar results to if you transport material to your job site.
In California, our customer wanted to find a way to expand their company’s services and generate more revenue but didn’t know what the best process is. They found an answer when they took a look at all of the concrete they received from their demolition jobs. Instead of throwing the material away or letting it accumulate in their yard, they could use it to produce aggregates and sell it to other companies or reuse it on their job sites.
Their problem? The concrete they obtained had rebar, and they weren’t sure which process that allowed them to separate the two materials without requiring several units. If they decided to use different machines, they would invest a lot of time using either a hammer or a pulverizer to break down the concrete before cutting the rebar out. Then the question of whether or not their job site has the space to accommodate multiple units gets asked. If their job site didn’t have the space for multiple units, then they would need to haul material back and forth between their yard and the site.
Instead of utilizing multiple attachments, they learned more about the BF70.2 crusher bucket after hearing about how the unit can crush reinforced concrete without jamming. They also liked the crusher since the attachment was compact enough to fit on job sites with limited space. With the machine, they crushed the concrete and separated the rebar, they started to sell it to customers, and once they saw how much material they were producing, they also used it on their job site as sub-base.

Our customer needed something that could process different types of material for them to create compost. The problem was that they often received various materials, making it difficult if the material they received was a conglomerate of different types of compostable waste. For their project, they needed to create compost by crushing brushwood without separating it from the soil.
