NPK Announces Changes to Sales Management

Jay Noel has been the Vice President of Sales here at NPK for the past seven years. Six of those seven years have been top years for the NPK sales department, and several records have been broken year after year with 2018 shattering them all! Jay started at NPK as a territory sales manager and quickly developed an immense and impressive dealer network throughout the Great Lakes and neighboring states. For nineteen years, he was one of NPK’s top territory sales reps. Jay left NPK for a couple years, but when former VP of Sales, Chuck Stevens announced his plans to retire, management approached Jay about coming back to NPK to lead the sales team.

Jay has played a valuable role in much of the growth of NPK over the last seven years. When NPK was unable to find an effective dealer in Georgia, he was instrumental in setting up and starting up DemoTrax in Norcross. Additionally, he played an essential part in the transition and growth of our Territory Sales Team, continuing to keep our sales team at the top of the industry. We are proud and highly fortunate to have had such a strong force leading our sales department these last seven years! So while we will miss him greatly, we are also thrilled for Jay to be able to relax and enjoy his retirement.

Jay is excited to move back to his home state of Kentucky and spend more time with his wife, daughters and granddaughter, as well as spend some more quality time with his father. Jay will continue to consult through the end of September as the sales team continues transitioning and his replacement continues to familiarize himself with his new role.

Claudio Calzado, formerly the International Sales Manager for Central and South America, accepted the position and has been working with Jay over the past few months to ensure the transition was as seamless as possible for NPK Dealers and employees alike. Claudio had been NPK’s International Sales Manager for over 22 years. He has worked closely with Chuck and Jay throughout the years and assisted in various functions of the sales department.

When Claudio started at NPK we had only one international dealer. Today we have dealers in almost every country in Central and South America. The territory has developed and changed several times over the years as most Latin American countries go through very large economic and currency valuation changes every few years. Claudio has not only been involved in Latin America sales but also has built relationships with people from NPK Europe, Paus and the majority of NPK Japan management. We are eager to see Claudio to continue the momentum of the past seven years into the coming years.
