One of Western Canada’s largest hydraulic attachment suppliers recently added a new product for scrap and demolition customers to their sales lineup. ShearForce Equipment, based in Abbotsford, BC, now offers ShearForce scrap magnets for excavators. As the Western Canadian distributor of LaBounty mounted tools for the past 40 years, the addition of ShearForce scrap magnets gives scrap recycling and demolition customers better access to a complete spectrum of high-quality handling attachments.
“The addition of these new ShearForce magnets to our current lineup will better enable us to service our scrap recycling and demolition customers across Canada”, said Brad Dewit, president of ShearForce Equipment. The move essentially means that ShearForce now sells and services the full range of hydraulic scrap attachments, including grapples, shears and blade kits, and magnets.
ShearForce magnets are powerful, affordable, and come in four styles to fit the carrier and application. HMG hydraulic magnets are heavy-duty magnets ideally suited for demolition use, or any other application where a quick changing attachment is beneficial. With only two hydraulic hoses to connect, they are easy to install and allow the operator to control the magnet with the activation of the hydraulic circuit. The HMG-T hydraulic magnet comes with two sets of extended scraping claws that are designed to loosen up dirt, gravel, and other debris allowing access to metal pieces. Battery-powered BMG magnets are great for scrap applications where powering a magnet is difficult. They are the least expensive magnet, and don’t require a generator as the magnet system runs off the 24-volt excavator battery. Electromagnets (EMG) are robust, heavy duty, and made for the most rigorous demands. The strongest and most durable magnet, EMG magnets are powered by generators driven by the hydraulic flow of the machine or by diesel generators.
