TJM Capital Partners announced effective today, the acquisition of Builtrite Handlers from Northshore Manufacturing. The business will operate under a new name, Builtrite Manufacturing, and will continue to design and manufacture the brand’s market leading material handler and attachment products. All administrative and manufacturing operations will remain in Two Harbors, MN in a facility leased from Northshore.
Builtrite Manufacturing’s management team includes members with extensive experience in the heavy construction equipment and attachment industries. Tom Cavallin recently assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, Uwe Kausch has been appointed Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, and Bill Van Sant will serve as Executive Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors. Subsequent to the sale, Northshore’s founder, John Anderson, will be retained as a Consultant to Builtrite Manufacturing.
Van Sant noted, “TJM Capital Partners and its investors are particularly pleased to have the opportunity to acquire Northshore’s Builtrite Handler business. One of the many benefits that will result from this change in Builtrite’s ownership is the availability of growth capital to support the company’s plan to grow and build value for all stakeholders, and most importantly, its base of loyal customers. The new company’s core strategy is to continue Northshore’s 40 year tradition of designing and manufacturing unique market leading material handlers and attachments that exceed customer expectations for performance and value. Every stakeholder in the Builtrite organization values the longstanding partnerships that exist between the company and its discerning customers, and are committed to perpetuating these relationships.”
Builtrite is scheduled to participate in a number of key trade shows during 2015, including the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries annual convention in Vancouver, BC Canada next week, Waste Expo in June (Las Vegas), the Automotive Recycling Association Show (North Carolina) and the AREMA Railway Show in October (Minneapolis, MN). All attendees are invited to visit the company’s exhibit at these shows to observe its broad families of advanced material handlers and attachment products and to meet the company’s new leadership team.
